Muta Animation

is an artistic collective that uses animation as its primary language. It was founded in 2020 and consists of Elisa Bonandin, Elisabetta Bosco, Margherita Giusti, and Viola Mancini. Before the collective was formed, the four founders attended the three-year program at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Turin, graduating in 2020 with their diploma films "En rang par deux" and "Siderea". Their journey continued with various commissions and other collaborations such as music videos, promotional videos, and short films. In 2022, they produced their first short film directly managed by the collective: “The Meatseller,” directed by Margherita Giusti, which premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival and won the David Di Donatello 2024 for Best Short Film.
